Seafarer reunites with sister

21st June 2017

Here's a heart-warming account about how Apostleship of the Sea (AoS) Felixstowe port chaplain Patricia Ezra was able to arrange a reunion between a brother and sister who had not seen each other for over 10 years.
Pat got a phone call asking if she could help a lady who had not seen her brother (a seafarer) for over 10 years.
His ship would be arriving into Felixstowe port. Pat checks and confirms the vessel will be in port so arranges to meet the lady at Felixstowe station.
Pat says, "All is well but it is Saturday and the trains are not running in London very well so she is delayed and arrives five minutes before her brother’s shift starts. I dart out to the shop and make contact with Florens (the seafarer).
"After some negotiation Florens is able to arrange cover for his shift and is able to join his sister at the seafarers centre for the afternoon. A lovely time for them both as you can see by the broad smiles all round."

Little things that make a huge difference. Thank you Pat for making this happen.
