A Lenten Voyage
22nd February 2017
Our Immingham port chaplain Fr Colum Kelly will present a series of weekly podcasts during Lent. There are six of them, all approximately six minutes long. Each one is built around each Sunday's gospel of Lent and is a unique sharing from the perspective of a seafarer at sea. The podcasts are recorded and produced by the Catholic Church in England & Wales.

Week 4 - The Healing of the Man Born Blind
Lent is a process of having our eyes opened to see and hope and love as Jesus does. Lent is about re-forming our seeing, our hoping and our desiring.
The invitation of Jesus to the man born blind is clear and it is the same invitation to each of us. Go. Wash. See.

Week 3 - The Woman at the Well.
God loves us in spite of what might be wrong in our lives. He can’t help it.
God values us enough to come looking for us, to welcome us into a share of His love and to take delight in us even if others despise us.

Week 2 - The Transfiguration.
The Apostles were privileged to witness the inner life of Christ, when His splendour was revealed to them on the holy mountain.
We pray that our voyage of Lent would bring us a deeper experience of God in our own lives, and to share in His divine life.
Week 1 - Into the Wilderness.
What do we need before setting off on this voyage?
What 'baggage' do we need to leave behind?
