We have ambitious plans to grow our services to help thousands more seafarers directly. At the same time we are also expanding our work with fair freight and human rights, and increasing our active lobbying. Our aims over the next few years include:
-
Increasing our direct contact and work with seafarers. We are working towards a greater number of trained volunteer ship visitors to visit seafarers onboard ships and assess any practical needs.
-
To continue working ecumenically with other partners to provide seafarer drop-in centres with even greater communication facilities.
-
Campaigning for a society that allows the voices of seafarers to be heard, and a society where they have fair working conditions and full rights.
-
Aiming to become the leading authority on seafarers’ issues, fair freight and increasing our influence among policy makers.
